Breaking Hearts (…and legs)
It’s been quite some time since “John” and I had our date…some would say it has been a long “break”…
(Too soon? I’m the worst…)
Yesterday out of the blue, I received this text message:
We chatted for a bit, nothing too serious – just the usual niceties…but then I got that one dreaded message I was hoping to avoid…
I kindly let him know that I’ve been dating someone (don’t worry guys – he is fully aware of the story and has filled out all the liability paperwork associated with dating me), but that I was glad that he was finishing up physical therapy. I wished him all the best luck and thanked him for letting me know that he was okay – and I told him that he still has one healthy leg and that he shouldn’t wager it on another night with yours truly.
Don’t You Look At Me!
Things have gone well for our friend here since he was accosted at that bar…in fact, this story made a cameo his stand-up comedy routine! If you’re around the DC Metro area, keep an eye out for this guy, and ladies – if you run into him at a bar…be nice or you might make it into his act too!
Worst. Birthday. Ever.
Brian has yet to kill any more horses…that we know of.
